Pregnancy is segmented into three stages known as trimesters. Each trimester lasts between 12 and 14 weeks or about 3 months. Full-term pregnancy lasts approximately 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. During each trimester, your baby will achieve certain developmental milestones.
